August 2013 Fearless Presentations in Dallas, Texas

Past Fearless Presentations ® Classes

On August 15, 2013 a group of ten got together to overcome public speaking anxiety, It was a great group, very enthusiastic, funny, and outspoken. Everyone shared openly and enjoyed the different activities aimed at increasing their comfort in presenting and their ability to deliver effective public presentations. Feedback suggested that people most benefited from the preparation and delivery advice for effective presentations, “Learning the three point presentation made things simple and less intimidating”  The group learned a lot from the adding enthusiasm exercise, sometimes by doing things a little differently can achieve different and positive results. They felt a certain comfort in knowing that they were all there for the same thing so the atmosphere was relaxed, energetic and very upbeat. When a speaker turns boring statistics into real life stories he or she makes the audience sit up and listen, “appreciate” not “tolerate” his presentation.  Every set of data deserves a good story – a story that you can claim, and bring to life.  A class participant said “This is so helpful because the things I present on are so boring and I also just realized sitting in this class that it is about the presenter as well as the content, thank you”. The one thing that they all learned is that the fear of public speaking is universal, but something we can all do if we understand that public speaking is a skill that can be developed and mastered. The Fearless Presentations Public Speaking Workshop is centered on the philosophy is that we have to have right attitude to develop a new skill, we must learn the proper techniques to be a great presenter, and to practice the new skills.  "The instructor was great at providing the feedback we needed and getting up in front of the room to give presentations was just the practice I needed"
