All they wanted for Christmas… was to feel more confident presenting. And that’s exactly what they received in our final professional speaking course in Phoenix for 2023!
Held on December 14–15, this class welcomed a group of driven professionals from across the U.S. While it was chilly in much of the country, Phoenix felt like spring. The warm weather and the even warmer learning environment made for a perfect way to end the year.
This open-enrollment course brought together professionals from different industries, all looking to sharpen their communication skills before heading into the holidays.
Diverse Professionals Build Speaking Skills in a Professional Speaking Course in Phoenix
Participants came from all over. One attendee from Sempra Infrastructure gives presentations about sustainable energy. Another was a pharmacist from Express Scripts who supports home-bound patients. We also had an accountant specializing in corporate taxes and an IT manager focused on improving internal communication.
Though their jobs were different, each participant came with the same goal—to deliver clear, confident, and engaging presentations.
Day one focused on reducing nervousness, organizing thoughts, and using storytelling effectively. Each person got multiple opportunities to speak in front of the group and receive helpful coaching. We also focused on how when professionals (white collar presenters) deliver content, we need to look poised and confident. The audience may not always remember everything that you say. However, they will often remember how you say it. So, professional speaking can be even more challenging for new presenters.
On day two, we worked on content design and structure. Participants learned how to build presentations that flow and hold attention. By the end, they delivered final speeches with clarity and confidence.
In Phoenix this December, the best “presents” weren’t wrapped—they were delivered with poise and professionalism. 🎁
