We kicked off the 2024 fall season with a great presentation class in Philadelphia, PA! This September workshop welcomed a mighty group of professionals looking to sharpen their public speaking skills.
As the Labor Day holiday wrapped up, this group got right to work. They came ready to build confidence, reduce public speaking nervousness, and make their future presentations more effective.
The group included a VP of Human Resources from a financial planning company. She wanted to lead team meetings with more impact and speak more clearly under pressure. We also had the owner of a growing home healthcare company. His goal was to connect better with clients and staff. We also had a construction service company owner in the presentation class. He wanted to present project updates with more confidence.
Philadelphia Presentation Skills Workshop Helps Local Leaders Speak with Confidence
The presentation class followed our standard 2-day format. On the first day, we helped participants reduce nervousness and speak more naturally. Everyone gave a short talk in the morning and got real-time coaching. Of course, by lunch, the nerves were fading.
In the afternoon, we covered how to tell stories, use examples, and keep things interesting. Then, on day two, we focused on organizing content. The group learned how to design presentations that are easy to follow and easy to deliver. Finally, we ended the workshop by having the participants deliver a final presentation to the group. (And every speaker showed major improvement.)
This presentation class in Philadelphia had just about the perfect number of students. We can put up to 10 people in a class. But with just a couple fewer than that, each person gets more one-on-one coaching from the presentation coach. This six-person class still allowed each participant to practice speaking in front of a nice-sized group. And, it also allow each to develop their presentation skills with their coach.
