Seattle Parks and Recreation Team Boosts Skills with a Custom Presentation Class in Seattle, Washington

From the start, the group jumped into the material with energy and curiosity. During early exercises, they practiced using personal stories to make dry topics feel more like a stroll through the park than a boardroom lecture. With each round of feedback, their confidence grew.

After lunch, we focused on designing clear and engaging presentation outlines. Attendees learned to organize ideas quickly and include examples that bring facts to life. No fluff, no filler — just practical skills they could apply right away.

By the end of the day, the group had developed new tools to capture attention and make technical topics more engaging. And yes, we had a few laughs along the way. (You can’t train parks and rec professionals without a little fun!)

Everyone gave a final presentation using the tools they learned. And they nailed it. It was inspiring to see how much growth could happen in just one day.

Kudos to Seattle Parks and Recreation for investing in professional development and building a team that’s confident, collaborative, and ready to speak with impact. They proved that even public speaking can be a walk in the park — with the right coaching.
