Amidst the crisp autumn air, the class became a space where shared vulnerabilities turned into collective strength. The first morning, we focused on unraveling the knots of nervousness and creating a safe atmosphere to practice.
Then, in the afternoons we practiced storytelling and persuasive techniques. Along the way, as participants crafted their narratives, their attitude about presenting seemed to shift. They were thankful that they came to class. But they were also disappointed that they hadn’t come sooner!
Finally, on the second day we began to design effective presentations from scratch. Throughout the whole process, though, the snow-capped Rocky Mountains were in the distance out the conference room window. It was a fantastic time to visit Denver!
