In March, we finished a Fearless Presentations® class in The Big Apple. The class had 10 people and was held at our office in Manhattan. The energy of St. Patrick’s Day was in the air. But this group didn’t need the luck of the Irish. They made their own luck by developing their public speaking skills.
The class delved into different aspects of public speaking like writing persuasive speeches and impromptu speaking. But we also covered get tips on how to use examples to explain complex data. The participants each got a lot of practice making their presentations more interesting and engaging. And, of course, they all also received help and coaching from the facilitator.
The famous city provided a vibrant backdrop for the class. The participants played a crucial role in their own learning, putting in effort and staying engaged. They discovered that presentations are not just about talking; they’re about creating a flow that keeps the audience interested.
This Public Speaking Class in New York Made Their Audiences Green with Envy.
The class also had some playful moments. Participants gave each other playful nudges for wearing green, adding a fun touch to the atmosphere. They learned that being interesting and making a connection with the audience is more important than just talking.
Overall, the class in Manhattan was a success. The participants left with newfound skills, ready to apply them in their future presentations. One of the major takeaways, though was how useful presentation skills are to a person’s success. Each of the 10 people came from totally different industries. But they all realized that the more comfortable they feel when they present, the more confidence their audiences will have in them.
