We had another great Fearless Presentations® Workshop in Phoenix, Arizona, recently! In fact, we now have eight additional fearless presenters in Phoenix!
The participants figured out very quickly that most audiences don’t want you to be scared or nervous when you present. Sometimes, as presenters, we mistakenly believe they’re there to watch us fail and embarrass ourselves.
However, they can relate to the fear of standing up in front of a group, large or small. Given that fear of public speaking tops the list for most people, they genuinely root for you to deliver a great speech without nervousness. That’s why you often see several smiling faces in the audience. Also, no one wants to sit through a boring presentation. The audience is usually on your side. They are on your side.
